Donald Glover Joins Andrew Yang's Campaign As 'Creative Consultant'

Before the sixth Democratic debate on Thursday (December 19), Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) teamed up with presidential hopeful Andrew Yang for a pop up shop in Los Angeles and designed a line of campaign merch, including limited edition sweatshirts, hats, and posters signed by Yang. The entrepreneur-turned-politician must have liked the work Glover did, because he's now hired him onto his staff.

According to a press release, the 36-year-old can add another job to his already incredible resume, as he's taken on a “creative consultant role” for Yang's campaign. “The specialized merchandise embodies the core policies and values of Andrew Yang’s Humanity First platform and future collaborations are expected,” the press release adds.

From the looks of a Twitter post Yang shared, his relationship with his newest staff member is already a good one. We can't wait to see what else they come up with together.

Glover isn't the only musician to publicly endorse Yang. Last month, Weezer played a set during a campaign rally in Des Moines, Iowa aptly titled Yangapalooza. The candidate even joined in at one point. When the band started playing their classic "Say It Ain't So" he took the stage to dance and sing along with Rivers Cuomo.
